The Black Keys new album, Attack & Release, is due to come out on April 1st. This will be the bands 5th album, but the first since they really broke into the music scene in 2006 with "Magic Potion".
But here's the catch....
Dangermouse is being hired to produce the new album.
In case you aren't familiar with him, Dangermouse is the DJ mastermind behind projects like Gnarls Barkely, The Mouse and the Mask (the adult swim inspired album), and the Grey Album (a mix between the Beatles' White Album and Jay-Z's Black Album).
I think we're all interested to see how this mix of styles will pan out. Obviously, Mouse is multitalented enough to handle any genre, and he has handled a wide variety in the past, but this still will stand as Dangermouse's first attempt in the realm of Rock and Roll.
Can't wait for April to hear what this album is going to sound like? Don't worry! We've got a video clip for the song "Stranger Times" off the new album, right here! The video features the members of The Black Keys and Dangermouse together in a studio.
